Epic and Realistic forms

Salil Subedi is a trained theatre actor. He evolved from the tutelage of the German director, Sabine Lehmann (Studio 7). He focused on the epic theatre form of Bertolt Brecht during his training with the German director Sabine Lehmann. He has taken workshops from Nicholas Ellenbogen and Elizabeth Ellenbogen (Theatre for Africa) in Nature and Wildlife conservation drama. He performed with them at the IUCN World Conservation Union in Barcelona and London Zoo (ZSL). He also performed at Bardia National Park, Chitwan National Park, and Kathmandu. Salil also has done realistic play with Sunil Pokharel (Aarohan-Gurukul), Bimal Subedi (Theatre Village) and Ghimire Yubaraj (Shilpee Theatre). He is also one of the early pioneers of nature themed performance art in Nepal.
